What Do We Offer?

                                 Peace of Mind.

You have probably never given much thought to just how much time and effort you put into your pet's good health and happiness. When you are gone, many things have to be done on a daily basis to make certain your pets are safe, secure, comfortable and happy. Professional Pet Sitting Etc. has almost 2 decades of experience in animal care, and we go through the following checklist every time we visit with your pets:

Bringing in the newspaper
Bringing in the mail
Giving each pet clean, fresh water
Giving each pet the fresh food
Giving treats, if allowed
Cleaning up any accidents
Scooping little boxes, if needed
Having loving playtime with each pet
Taking pets out for a walk, if needed
Making notes for owners
Administering medications, if needed

You do most of these things automatically when you are at home. Isn't it comforting to know that someone is going through a checklist each day and will do them for you while you are away?

SERVICE EXPLANATIONS

Visits for Long Work Days   /  Mid-Day Let Out                                                    Friend stay IN all day?

  • The ultimate gift of love for your pet.

  • *****Most requested Service

  • All pets need a break during our long work days, double shifts, unexpected or planned overtime. Pets can only go for so long without needing to go out. It can be agonizing for a grown pet to even think of having an accident inside. This service is especially needed for puppies and elderly pets (as for any pet) who can not go for more than a few hours without needing to be relieved.

  • If you work or are away from home 6 hours or more per day, give your pets the ultimate gift of love and call us for Mid-Day Let Out.    WE CAN PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR FIRST AND SECOND SHIFTS.

  • A trained and qualified Professional Pet Sitter will let your pet out to go to the bathroom, get some fresh air, stretch and let off some anxiety, play with toys or play ball, have some treats and always get lots of TLC and personal attention during the day while you are away.

  • Mid day Let out can help with many behavior problems associated with boredom and being left home alone for many hours each day (such as anxiety, chewing, destructiveness, etc).  This service may also help alleviate bladder infections which may come from holding urine for long periods of time.

  • You can schedule Mid Day Visits for :

    • only one visit every now and then,

    • or once per week

    • or just Tuesdays and Thursdays

    • or every Monday, Wednesday, Friday

    • or use us long term Monday through Friday.

    • We are there whenever you need us.

Give the Ultimate Gift of love to your pet with our "Mid-Day Let Out" program!

Please give ALL pets a break in the middle of your work day everyday, whether we provide this service for you or you come home everyday at lunch or have a friend, neighbor or relative come in for you.  Please give your pet a break every day.

A mid day break is good for your pet physically and mentally.

Great for puppies, older pets and others who are home for more than 4 - 6 hours in a day.

Visits for Vacations, Day Trips, Business Trips,  Hospitalization or Any Reason

  • Your pet will enjoy staying home during your travels, in the event of your illness or hospitalization, or for any other reason knowing that a petsitter who loves animals will visit each day. You will feel secure, in the knowledge, that someone experienced and responsible will be caring for your beloved pet.

  • If you are disabled or recovering from surgery, Etc. - We can come in and help with your pet care needs.  Let us know what you would like and what your pets' needs are.

  • We can do as little as one visit per year, or as long as six months (or longer).

  • We can do up to a 30 minute visit,  up to a 60 minute visit, or a custom length of time.

Meet a Pet Sitter

  • We put on hundreds of new clients every year, and due to our great reputation many choose not to meet a pet sitter, however, you can choose to meet a pet sitter to make you feel more comfortable.  We can schedule a regular visit after you register with us, to meet your pet sitter.  Please remember, that whatever you want your pet sitter to know, must be written down.  We never commit anything to memory, that way if your pet sitter ever became ill, had a family emergency, vacation or whatever, any one of our great pet sitters must have the same information to take as good of care of your pets, as your last pet sitter.

  • Also, we like to have the same pet sitter taking care or your pets every time you need us.  It makes it much easier for  schedules, payroll, you and your pets.  However, if your pet sitter can not care for your pets for any reason, then we will need to schedule another.

Emergency Pet Sitting

  • Some people use us for emergencies. They may have a loved one who is sick and may need to leave their pets quickly, or people who have a medical condition may require unexpected hospital stays, or unexpected business trips, etc. We are here for any emergency or unexpected situation. We will care for your pets while you can go where you need to be.

Litter Box Maintenance

  • Client Requested

  • Do you hate to cleaning the litter box but love your cats?  Let us help you.  We can come Monday - Friday or seven days a week and scoop your litter box for you, give fresh food, water and some loving attention to your kitties while you are at work, home or vacation. Veterinarians recommend that litter boxes are scooped once per day, ideally twice per day.  Clean litter boxes may help prevent elimination problems around your home.  No more litter box duty for you, let us do it for you.

Pooper Scooping of your yard

  • We can schedule a time to clean your yard of pet waste, while we are pet sitting, on a weekly basis or once in a while.

Doggie DayCare  (Limited Space)

  • Your pet can come stay with us for the day while you are at work or away for the day.

Overnight Stays (Limited Space)

  • If your pet hates to stay alone, we may be able to arrange an overnight stay. We provide overnight stays for your pet in one of our pet sitter's home.

Transportation for Your Pet (Limited)

  • If your pet has an appointment to go to the veterinarian, the groomer, or anywhere else, and you are not going to be available (can't take the time off from work, etc.) we can pick up your pet, take them where they need to be and drop them off again at home.

Medications Administered,  &   Senior Pet Care

  • If your pet is on any kind of medications that are required by your veterinarian, we will keep your pet on schedule medically.

  • In addition to antibiotics, pills, and ointments, we are able to help with diabetic pets with insulin, pets with kidney problems and needing fluid therapy, seizure medications, etc. (Injections for fluids or medications are not available in all areas).

  • We can also help with senior pets and their special needs.

Special Meals

  • Some pets are on restricted or special diets. We will try to keep with your pets' daily diet.

Emergency Backup System

  • Your pets will be cared for by a Primary Care Pet Sitter. Your pet will be comfortable knowing and loving the same person for the times you are away. But if anything should happen to the Primary Care Pet Sitter (such as family emergency, illness, full schedule, vacations), we have 30+ trained professionals in our emergency backup system. This way, your pet will always be cared for, which is top priority.

  • All employees are bonded, insured and police background checked. All are 21 years or older, LOVE animals, have animal experience, are trained, extremely responsible, extremely reliable, and live within the areas they service. All pet sitters are non-related, so if a pet sitter has a family emergency, only that pet sitter is affected. They must follow our 40+ page Policy & Procedure Handbook. We do everything we can to ensure your pet is well cared for.

Private Obedience Classes (Limited Space)

  • This is an alternative to classroom obedience for people who do not like that style. It is also for people who may be afraid of other dogs, or own aggressive dogs themselves, or may have flunked classroom obedience - whatever the reason. We will teach you to train your dog in basic obedience and how you and your pet can live in harmony.

  • The dogs we have trained in the past have been regular everyday pets to extreme abuse cases with horrible problems. Classes are 6 week courses, that are held once weekly for a half hour, at your home. Private obedience classes are tailored and individualized to your specific needs, problems and learning.

Pet Problem/Dog Owner Counseling

  • This service is FREE for two months when in obedience classes. This service can help with many problems, most over the phone. We have many tried and true solutions that work well, if owners are willing to follow the steps.

Nail Clipping (Limited)

  • We can come to your home and clip nails on your pet (no birds or exotics), so as not to traumatize you or your pet by bringing them elsewhere. Not available in all areas.

Pet Loss Grief Counseling

  • If you are so unfortunate as to lose a beloved pet, we may be able to help. Many adults go through a tough time when friends and family members just do not understand how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. Many children benefit also when talking with someone who understands about their terrible loss, which may also be the first time they have to deal with death.

Wills - What Will Happen to Your Pets, If Something Happens To You?

  • A few of our thoughtful caring clients have added our service to their wills. For some, we are to care for their pets until good permanent homes are found for their pets. Other clients wish for us to transport their pets to the pre-arranged permanent home. Call us with your wishes and then fill out your will for the care and safety of your most beloved pets when you can't be there.
